A perfect copy of the original X.
Copy X is a reploid, a form of fully sentient android. Built in the 24th century, he was intended to take the place of the legendary hero, X. He ruled over the utopia of Neo Arcadia, its citizens entirely unaware a fake was on the throne. When an energy crisis began to threaten Neo Arcadia's idyllic lifestyle, he began to harvest reploids to keep energy consumption down, falsely accusing them of being Mavericks, or reploids that had become a threat to humanity. His rule ended when he was killed at the hands of the ancient reploid Zero. He was revived again just over a year later by the exiled war criminal, Dr. Weil, with his programming altered to render him little more than a puppet to Weil's goals. Copy X died for the second time when a trap Weil had implanted in his body caused him to self-destruct. In total, his reign lasted eight years. I was supposed to be... a hero... |
